Only school in Georgia to receive grant
New Quitman County Elementary School Awarded Apple and ConnectED Grant
Georgetown, GA — October 27, 2014 — New Quitman County Elementary School is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive an Apple grant as part of the ConnectED program. The award will enable New Quitman County Elementary School to provide a comprehensive 1:1 technology solution for every student and teacher, including Apple hardware, software, and services.
By providing students, teachers, and administrators with Apple technology, New Quitman County Elementary School will be able to enrich its classroom experience and expand opportunities for its students.
“This grant will have a tremendous impact on our students and our greater community.” According to Allen Fort, Superintendent of the Quitman County School System, “It will also provide our students and teachers daily access to a world of unlimited knowledge, individual creativity, and motivated learning. It is our goal to give every one of our students the ability to compete in a global economy and provide them with the best education possible, every day.”
