Media Center Activities and Programs
1. The media center provides circulation and inventory for all books and equipment items.
2. Accelerated Reading is a remedial reading program available to all students and is the responsibility of the media specialist and teacher.
3. STAR reading is an assessment reading tool for determining the level of difficulty students are able to read.
4. Lexile levels are reading development scores that are determined from student Criterion Reference Competency Test and reported on the students score report. This level is used to assist students in reading all types of materials including library books and textbooks.
5. Research skills and storytelling activities are available as requested by the classroom teacher.
6. The Georgia Research website Galileo is available to students of all ages in GA. The password is posted quarterly at the school library.
7. We subscribe to the local newspapers and periodicals for elementary, middle and high school students.
